3 m & 6 m RC drill rods

RC drill rods are offered in 3 m and 6 m lengths for new sampling projects and replenishment. List length, outer diameter, connection and quantity, then check the rig’s rod handling and existing tooling. Available supply lengths and the lengths accepted by a particular rig are checked separately.

Product overview

Air and sample paths in a dual-wall rod

RC rods provide two passages: compressed air travels down the annular path, and the returning sample-bearing flow travels up the central tube. Selection therefore considers the inner tube and connection as well as overall diameter and length.

Supply lengths and rig compatibility

The 3 m and 6 m options describe available supply lengths; they do not mean that every rig accepts both. For a new rig, check rod handling and the drilling configuration. For replacement rods, provide the current model, outer diameter and connection photographs.

Build an order around the existing equipment

The specification table retains the 89, 102, 114 and 127 mm outer-diameter range. Confirm the required supply combination for the rig configuration. If a compressor or hammer is also needed, combine the requirements so the complete RC equipment and tooling list can be checked.

    Selection questions

    Do 6 m rods directly fit RC500AC?

    The current RC500AC specifications list 3 m rods. The separately supplied 6 m length needs a compatibility check for the actual equipment.

    Is this the same range as core drill rods?

    This range serves RC sampling. NQ, HQ and PQ core drill rods in 1.5 m and 3 m lengths are listed on their own product page.
